once, twice, thrice and so on

The romantic notions of building a house still call to me. It's the repetition though that drags me down. For instance, you don't just paint the window sashes. You paint every edge of every mull, twice. No drips now. Then you scrape off all the excess from each pane, six. Mind you, there are two sashes per window and thirteen windows...double naught, carry the seven...six panes...cipher, naught...dang. That takes like two days for one dude. Luckily for me, I delegated that task to someone below me. I got stuck. Myself supervised. Me went for a bike ride then drank beer all afternoon.

Once complete, though, it is looking really tight. Iron fencing two weeks from tomorrow. Some steps, flowering window boxes and BAM. For sale signage. Cool. Can't wait.
