Like second nature

There are things one can do after reaching a certain level of experience without conscious regard for how to execute them. I doubt TJ Oshie considers how to balance his weight when snapping a shot off. AFox likely does not consider if she tamped enough before brewing up my americano. And I do not wonder which tool to use when in a predicament.

Yesterday, as will be today, was nuts. And in the course of fast, things happen. Nails bend instead of drive, boards get cut off 9/16ths too short, and plans change and then change again. And the key seems to be not so much avoiding errors but rather in understanding how to deal with them. Not making a follow-on mistake that further screws things up to the point of breakdown. And, can one do this and still reach the goal?

It helps to have excellent advice and others to bounce ideas off of too! Many thanks to Bill and Nathan for giving me the looks I completely deserve when I suggest...oh I dunno, "I think I will rip that one off and replace it with caulk."

It also helps to have at your disposal almost any tool one would need to saw, trim, or otherwise modify materials in the oddest directions. And caulk. Thank you Lord for caulk. In your wisdom you allowed our eyes to discern 1/64th of an inch and caulk to cover that tiny tiny gap.

So on the cusp of another crazy day, I hope you find the caulk you need to assist you in the expertise you have in what you do where you are.
