...stands for many things. Concrete is a good one, as in, "Look at how those guys are putting in the new concrete slabs at 1837 So. 10th." Conman is another, though not so pleasant, as in, "Who the hell took the $2000 generator from the back of my truck?!"
I suppose the stolen generator is more interesting so, yes, two weeks ago the generator was taken from the back of my truck while I worked fifteen feet away. Me, a six-four, two hundred pound guy, was swinging an axe, chopping on a stubborn stump and two guys take the 200+lb. generator from the back of the truck @ 5 in the afternoon. My street is a deadend street - alley access though. It's daylight, the owner's swinging an axe 15 feet away, and there is no simple egress from the area.
"Brazen" comes to mind: "Stupid" does too. I submitted the typical police report, even had serial number. I thought the generator long gone. But, a week later, Officer Hill phones to say they were on patrol and saw some dude walking in the street with a generator; it did not pass the 'look right' test. Generator found.
This a good thing as I am renting the unit from friends and I don't have $2k to spend that is not already committed to, oh..putting a roof on the shell I own.
Speaking of which, framing starts in a week. Should have a roof, with shingles my my!, by Christmas.
