An Orange Monkey Suit and a Smile

Tonight, I host a party. I have advertised it as a Debutante's Ball. The "coming out party" played well too as Soulard is Bohemian and well...well.

One could call it an open house, I suppose, though I think of that term applicable to marketing events. It's just not personal enough for what I aim to pull off.

There is a costume shop in Soulard. It is very eclectic and the owner and odd odd duck that walks oddly even for a duck. I hope to reach an agreeable price for an orange tuxedo I see in the window. It has the ruffles and I know it will be way too small but I am hoping and emergency tailor can assist too. It would be perfect. My nephew and I have had a long-standing love affair with Dumb and Dumber and I have always wanted to exhibit my true depth of humour: basal and crude. And an orange monkey suit is a great start.

In keeping with a circus-like atmosphere, free hotdogs served from a 7-11 rotisserie and canned beer too. I plan on plying the house in flip flops and hope the rain stays away.

I am already planning the bloody mary and biscuits/gravy brekkie for Noon tomorrow with my special gal who will likely drink me under the table.

I hope you can attend. I know you have been invited. As the house is now for sale, this blog's viewers are limited to you and...well, you.

Cheers and bring on the elephants!

Maynard-
What a blast. Yore partay was the talk of the town! And you, the toast of Soulard.
What a great home. I can see why you're so proud of it! Beautiful. Eco-friendly (cheaper monthly bills). I feel like it smiles to me when I see it.
BTW...What was that girl's last name...Swanson? Smith? Oh, Samsonite! I was way off! (Its right here on the handle)
