...don't take a bath. One is assuming that the shower/tub are a single banger. But how true, eh? Kinda like, if you are a plumber, don't chew your nails. Yeah, it's like that. ewe.
Yesterday's open house was a trial run and it went well. I was part of the StL BigBigTour event which was not really a sale related event but at $15, it was the right price for bringing some people to the door. Most importantly, it gave me THE date to work towards having everything complete in the house. I came up short on the plumbing finals, noticeably one pedestal sink was missing. All else was in place though. And the place looked killer.
The day was cold, grey, rainy, and windy: a perfect day for a trial open house, one with two fireplaces that felt warm and cozy. No high potential buyers came through but again, I would rather have a day or two more to be fully functional for those folks.
Next up, a realtor luncheon on 4/6 and listing on the MLS. That in work, I will turn to framing the garage and it's completion in 6 weeks. Privacy fencing and landscaping and bingo, done.
My heartfelt thanks to Alethea Fox for working til midnight Saturday last cleaning floors and windows. She had to work bright and early Sunday morning too. A great great friend, very selfless and giving.
If you drop me a line, I will forward you pictures of the final which are on PicasaWeb. I find out Wednesday night if I am awarded the USGBC honor and in a month the StL Landmarks Asso. honor. I reallallallllllyyyy am hopeful for both.
Cheers.
